The Afrika-Verein (German African Business Association) organizes in cooperation with the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of the Great Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya the German-Libyan Business Meeting from April 25th – 26th 2009 in Tripoli and continues to foster the German-Libyan business relations.

As in the last ten German-Libyan Business Meetings we expect high ranking representatives of both, Libyan and German political institutions and companies.

We are pleased to inform you that the German Minister of Economics and Technology, H.E. Dr. Karl-Theodor Freiherr zu Guttenberg, will accompany us to Tripoli and will open the conference. This demonstrates the importance of the Meeting as a platform for the German-Libyan business relations.

German and Libyan experts will present and discuss the following issues of the German-Libyan business relations:

Housing and Utilities
Sustainable Development, Oil & Gas and Electricity
Training and Technology Transfer for SMC using the example of Healthcare and Education
Aspects of Legalization, Taxation and Banking System
